South County Hospital is the only Hospital in Rhode Island and the Northeast to have received consecutive 5-Star rankings from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) for Hospital Quality and Patient Experience.
This landmark, 100-bed acute care hospital, located in Wakefield, RI is home to the most robust robotic assisted surgical technology in the state. Mako SmartRobotics, used for hip and knee orthopedic procedures, first appeared in Rhode Island in 2010 only at South County Hospital and continues to gain global recognition under the expert surgeons of Ortho Rhode Island.
Our surgical suite offers orthopedic spine patients the extreme accuracy of ExcelsiusGPS and less invasive procedures using da Vinci XI for general, urologic, colorectal, gynecological, and other surgeries.
South County Medical Group is a comprehensive network of expert specialists and primary care healthcare providers created to provide a continuum of care for patients.
