The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH), is working to ensure that the general public will soon have access to the COVID vaccine.
The RIDOH is currently developing a distribution plan to get the vaccine to the most vulnerable populations, as well as to the general public, as the supply becomes available.
Due to the limited flow of supply, RIDOH reporting requirements, and the window of time that the inoculation must be administered after mixing the doses, once the vaccine becomes available to the public, an orderly distribution process will be necessary to ensure compliance and efficacy of the vaccine.
South County Health Primary Care and Specialty practices do not have the COVID vaccine to offer to their patients.
