South County Health is pleased to announce an upcoming Men’s Health Screening event at South County Hospital, focusing on hernia and prostate cancer screenings. This essential health event will take place on Saturday, June 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Hernia screenings involve a physical exam. Prostate cancer screenings involve a blood test and a physical exam. These screenings are a vital preventive measures, as early detection can significantly improve treatment outcomes. Patients are asked wear loose-fitting clothing that can easily be removed or adjusted during the screenings.

“We cannot overstate the importance of regular health screenings. They are a crucial step in detecting potential health issues before they become serious. A simple screening can truly save your life,” said Brian Kwetkowski, DO, MBA, Medical Director, Primary Care at South County Health.

Angela Taber, MD, Director of the Cancer Center, added, “Prostate cancer, when detected early, can be managed and treated effectively. Men who are at higher risk should prioritize these screenings to ensure their long-term health and well-being.”

This event is free of charge, and registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will be welcomed if space permits.
