South County Health was ranked 19th on the 2020 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America. Healthiest Employers® is a program for people-centric companies highlighting organizations that invested in the health of their people even in the face of a global pandemic.
Winners are selected based on their Healthiest Employers Index, which is based on six factors: vision, culture/engagement, learning, expertise, metrics, and technology. Each organization is evaluated using a health analytics intelligence platform — an AI-driven technology that applies proprietary algorithms to disparate health and related data, generating insights and actionable opportunities to save money and prevent disease.
“Workplace wellness has never been more important than this year,” said Maggie Thomas, VP Human Resources at South County Health. “We are honored to provide our staff a safe and progressive place to work.”
South County Health offers on-site and telephonic health coaching to staff and medically enrolled spouse or domestic partner, which has made the wellness program excel. Participants are eligible to earn ‘Well Beyond’ incentive points for participating.
“Staff well-being has been and will continue to be a key tenet of our ‘People Strategy’,” said Aaron Robinson, South County Health President/CEO. “We offer our employees a broad array of wellness options.”
Among those options are physical fitness, financial knowledge, and emotional well-being.
“South County Health is proud to create a social and physical environment with extensive opportunities for physical activity and education that promotes good health for all of our staff,” Robinson said.
South County Health has participated in the Healthiest Employers rating system for five years and has been among the top 100 Healthiest Employers four times.
