The South County Health Wound Care Center received two awards in recognition of its extraordinary performance in exceeding expectations on key clinical performance indicators.
Healogics, the nation’s leading provider of advanced wound care, presented the 2020 Center of Distinction Award and the Robert A. Warriner Center of Excellence Award to South County Health’s Wound Care Center.
In addition to measureable success in key clinical performance indicators, to be eligible for these awards a wound care center must maintain patient satisfaction scores greater than or equal to 92 percent; must have a healing rate greater than or equal to 91 percent; and successfully heal patients’ wounds in less than or equal to 30 days on average.
The Center of Distinction Award is based on successful criteria for the previous calendar year. The Center of Excellence Award is based on maintaining the criteria for the two years prior.
South County Health has received the Center of Distinction Award for 10 consecutive years, and the Center of Excellence Award for 8 consecutive years.
Since 2004, the South County Health Wound Care Center has successfully treated patients who suffer non-healing wounds caused by diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, venous disease, pressure ulcers, lymphedema, burns, surgical incisions, chronic inflammation, or other conditions.
