Our dedication to quality care has earned South County Hospital the distinction of being a 5-Star Hospital for Overall Quality from the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid (CMS). South County Hospital is one of only two hospitals in Rhode Island currently with a 5-Star rating.
This landmark, 100-bed acute care hospital, located in Wakefield, RI is home to the most robust robotic assisted surgical technology in the state. Mako SmartRobotics, used for hip and knee orthopedic procedures, first appeared in Rhode Island in 2010 only at South County Hospital and continues to gain global recognition under the expert surgeons of Ortho Rhode Island.
Our surgical suite offers orthopedic spine patients the extreme accuracy of ExcelsiusGPS, and minimally invasive procedures using da Vinci XI for general, urologic, colorectal, gynecological, and other surgeries.
South County Medical Group
South County Medical Group is a comprehensive network of expert specialists and primary care healthcare providers created to provide a continuum of care for patients.
Together, these practices give patients easy access to specialists as needed and, by working together as a cohesive team, can better manage each individual’s healthcare needs.
South County Home Health provides medical and non-medical care in the comfort and safety of your home, including skilled visiting nurse care, rehabilitation, mother and baby care, wound care, and more, all covered by insurance.
