Dr. Madom cares for a wide variety of conditions related to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Typically that includes pain that starts in the neck and back, but spreads to the arms and legs. He offers a wide range of options for patients that include non-operative and operative approaches to treat their pain.

His approach to patient care is about understanding each and every patient, what motivates them, and how their quality of life is affected by their problem. Only then can he be an effective spine care provider. He feels strongly that spine surgery should always be the last option. Most patients should be offered non-operative treatment options and give these methods a chance before considering a surgery. When facing a problem that does not respond to non-operative measures, or if neurologic function is impaired, operative care focuses on comprehensive treatment that is tailored to the patient and their lifestyle. He also works as a consultant to Stryker Spine, teaching at national courses and contributing to industry educational efforts.

When not at work, he spends time with his wife, Lindsay, and their four children. They are an active family and are usually found outdoors – from having a catch to paddling kayaks. Skiing, cycling, sculling and running are some of his favorite activities. His family is also involved with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, taking part in fundraising events.
