South County Health is launching a transformative initiative to rebuild and expand our facilities, creating a state-of-the-art Hybrid Cardiac Catheterization & Interventional Radiology (IR) Suite—and we need your help.
This project will modernize our infrastructure, enhance patient care, and ensure our community has access to life-saving heart and vascular treatments.
Why This Matters
Our Cardiac Cath Lab is vital for diagnosing and treating heart conditions, while our IR Lab supports cancer treatments, biopsies, and vascular procedures. These services save lives—but our existing labs no longer meet the growing needs of our community.
The Plan: A Facility for Advanced Care
This initiative includes:
- Rebuilding the Cath Lab Suite to open as a new Hybrid Cath-IR Suite for advanced cardiac and vascular procedures.
- Reconstructing the existing IR Lab and relocating the Nuclear Medicine machine to enhance efficiency.
- Expanding the Cath-IR Suite and transforming the current Nuclear Medicine area to accommodate the new Breast Health Center and Boutique, providing comprehensive, patient-centered care.
The Solution: Investing in Advanced Technology
By upgrading to the Siemens Artis Icono System, South County Health will:
- Enhance Imaging Accuracy for better diagnoses and precision treatments.
- Reduce Procedure Times, improving efficiency and patient comfort.
- Lower Radiation Exposure for safer treatments.
- Expand Advanced Care Options, ensuring more complex procedures can be done close to home.
