On Tuesday, June 6, South County Health marked the Grand Opening of the new Balise Entrance with a Ribbon Cutting Event.
The new entrance, formerly the West Entrance, provides improved Hospital access to patients and visitors. Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical patients, Diagnostic Imaging, and all Hospital visitors are encouraged to utilize this entrance, where they will be directed to proceed to the Patient Information Desk. Use of this new entrance will improve patient and visitor access as dedicated parking spaces are adjacent to the new entrance.
South County Health President and CEO Aaron Robinson remarked “South County Health is incredibly grateful for the generosity of the Balise Family in the creation of our Balise Entrance. This modernized and welcoming entrance will be the focal point for patients, staff, and community accessing our facilities for their care. It will also serve as a much-needed outdoor area for respite for patients and families while receiving their care and for the exceptional caregivers that serve our community daily. Philanthropy like this donation from the Balise Family is a remarkable example of the extraordinary and enduring community partnership that has helped make South County Health Rhode Island’s Most Trusted Health Partner.”
“In addition to providing great medical care, the staff at South County Hospital exemplifies a true culture of caring,” said Jeb Balise, President of Balise Auto Group. “Every person I’ve interacted with here has made me feel like my well-being is their top priority. I’m honored to support this amazing team of caregivers right here in Rhode Island.”
