South County Health is pleased to announce that Jaclyn Duridas, RN, has been selected as the recipient of the DAISY Award for her exceptional care and compassion. Jaclyn, a night shift nurse on the third floor of the Medical-Surgical department, consistently goes above and beyond in providing top-tier care to her patients.

Jaclyn is well known for her ability to make every patient feel seen and properly taken care of. For some, she is an outstanding nurse, willing to go the extra mile to ensure the highest quality of care, and for others, a shoulder to cry on during hard times. These traits are exemplified taking into account that Jaclyn has been nominated twice for this award. It is for these reasons that Jaclyn has solidified herself as an asset to those around her, and proven herself worthy of the DAISY award.

In her nomination letter, Russo expresses a deep appreciation for Jaclyn’s commitment to her role, stating, “Jaclyn has taken great care of me twice while I had my total knee replacement. She is kind, caring and compassionate. She always made sure my medication was given on time. I was crying in my room and Jaclyn stayed with me until I settled down. When her shift was over she made sure to come say good-bye to me. I never had a nurse like Jaclyn before. She is a fabulous nurse who loves her job. She is an asset to your hospital!”

Jaclyn’s care went beyond just attending to Lisa's medical needs. Her ability to provide emotional support and maintain a constant reassuring presence during times of stress speaks to her deep commitment to her patients' well-being. Lisa’s nomination is a powerful reflection of Jaclyn's enduring impact on her recovery.
