Wound Care at South County Hospital

The best of care in our newly renovated Center

Dr. Eric Buchbaum, Medical Director, Wound Care Center

Wounds that won’t heal aren’t just an inconvenience. They can lead to serious medical problems when not properly treated. At the South County Health Wound Care Center, we not only offer state-of-the-art therapies and highly advanced treatments for non-healing wounds; we deliver that care in a beautifully renovated space that is located in the medical office building at our hospital’s main entrance.

To make your visit more convenient, valet parking is available on weekdays at the hospital’s main entrance.

wound care

The Wound Care Center is a collaboration between South County Hospital and Healogics, a recognized national leader in wound care treatment and healing. Our objective is to restore your health and get you back to doing the things you love to do. We are here to treat hard-to-heal wounds caused by diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, venous disease, pressure ulcers, lymphedema, burns, chronic inflammation, and other conditions.

Surpassing national benchmarks for excellence
The Wound Care Center has received the Center of Distinction Award from Healogics, Inc. every year since 2009. The award marks the Center as one of the top wound care centers in the country and is given to facilities that have outstanding patient outcomes for twelve consecutive months. Ninety-five percent of the wounds we treat heal within 28 days of the patient’s first visit.
