Deborah Randall is a highly experienced healthcare risk management professional with over 40 years in nursing, patient safety, and risk management. She holds dual degrees in Nursing and Food & Nutritional Science from the University of Rhode Island and achieved her Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) credential in 2009. Deb’s career began in clinical nursing at Rhode Island Hospital and South County Hospital, and her expertise expanded through roles in nurse-legal consulting, utilization review, and quality improvement.

 

In 1996, Deb rejoined South County Hospital as Risk Manager, where she led initiatives for patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and insurance management. Her experience also includes eight years with Lifespan, focusing on loss prevention and insurance underwriting. In 2019, Deb returned to South County Health as Director of Risk Management and Privacy Officer, and in 2023, she was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Quality and Risk, overseeing critical areas including Infection Prevention, Employee Health, and regulatory compliance.

 

With a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory standards, Deb brings a wealth of expertise to her role, continuing to advance patient care outcomes and organizational integrity in an ever-evolving healthcare environment.
