“Each person I encountered treated me with respect and caring” says Sandi. “Everyone was on time and professional, asked questions, gave information and addressed my concerns. I appreciated and trusted each dedicated person.”

Sandi Rosen, South County Health Endoscopy Patient

When a grateful person is deeply touched by a significant experience, the outcome can be widespread. Sandi Rosen (pictured) recently visited our new endoscopy suite for her routine colonoscopy procedure. “Each person I encountered treated me with respect and caring” says Sandi. “Everyone was on time and professional, asked questions, gave information and addressed my concerns. I appreciated and trusted each dedicated person.”

Having lived in South County for the last 50 years, Sandi has witnessed the continued transformation and growth of South County Health to meet the community’s needs.
South County Health recently made an investment to update our endoscopy suite through the support of our philanthropic community. At the same time, we purchased an Endoscopic ultrasound, a minimally invasive ultrasound system to assess digestive and lung diseases. This special endoscope uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the lining and walls of the digestive tract and chest, nearby organs such as the pancreas and liver, and lymph nodes. This is the best system to identify pancreatic cancer.

The staff at South County Health are committed to delivering the highest quality care possible to patients like Sandi. South County Health was recently recognized by Press Ganey as one of the top hospitals and health systems in the country, according to performance in patient experience. South County Hospital was the only hospital in Rhode Island to receive this recognition. Our dedicated staff were in the top 5% of healthcare providers in delivering patient experience in the last year.

“As I left the hospital," Sandi recalls, "I reflected on how lucky I was to be served by the wonderful South County Hospital that offers so much to our community.”
