The Auxiliary, a branch of Volunteer Services, works hard to promote South County Hospital through community fundraising events, including its annual Fashion Show held at the Dunes Club in Narragansett. Since 1976, The Auxiliary has raised more than $1.5 million for Hospital services and equipment through fundraising events, staffing the Hospital's coffee shop and gift shop, and other special projects. Some of the improvements made possible with the help of the Auxiliary include:

The Hospital’s Volunteer Services department comprises Service Volunteers and Auxiliary Volunteers. Currently, more than 300 Service Volunteers support the Hospital by donating their time at the Patient Information Desk, in the Emergency Department, in the Same Day Surgery waiting area, and in many other locations throughout the Hospital. Just as important, Auxiliary Volunteers are responsible for making South County Hospital even stronger through their fundraising efforts. They aim to be a voice for the community and work with South County Health to offer the highest quality healthcare to those it serves.
For information about joining the Auxiliary committee, please email Nadine McCauley at nmccauley@southcountyhealth.org
The 2017 Auxiliary Fashion Show was held at The Dunes Club on Wednesday, June 21. More than $16,000 was raised to benefit the South County Health Cancer Center. Guests enjoyed lunch, boutique vendor shopping, and a fashion show by South County Hospital Auxiliary members, staff, and community members who modeled clothes from Seaside Style.
