Recently, the Governor’s Commission on Disabilities released the grant application for the Rhode Island Livable Home Modification Grant, approved by the General Assembly.
This grant is designed to assist homeowners and renters in retrofitting residences to support accessibility for those in need. Approved applicants will receive reimbursement for 50 percent of the cost and up to $5,000.
All applications for this grant must be submitted and received by the Commission prior to initiating any retrofitting work, and adhere to all regulations. The work itself must be completed by June 30, 2018 and the applicant must provide the Commission with all follow-up documentation by July 10, 2018.
