Meet Katie Whiting, RN: Caring for Our Community at Home
For Katie Whiting, RN, nursing at South County Home Health is about more than just providing care—it’s about building connections and supporting her neighbors. “What I love most about being a nurse for South County Home Health is definitely caring for the members of my community,” she shares. By delivering care in patients' homes, Katie meets people where they’re most comfortable, offering compassionate support tailored to each individual.
Balancing Life at Home and Work
Katie finds her role at South County provides a unique balance that allows her to be fully present both at work and with her family. “I’m able to bring my kids to school or the bus stop, pick them up, and most days, I’m not missing their sports or after-school activities. It’s a great balance between work and being a mom,” she explains.
A Team of Experts Working Together
Katie believes South County’s collaborative approach makes it truly special. “South County Home Health is different because of our teamwork between disciplines,” she notes. “Our incredible office staff, occupational therapy, physical therapy, Home Health aides, and social workers all work together to make sure our patients are getting everything they need.”
