On June 7, 2019 South County Health held its annual celebration to recognize outstanding employees for their years of service and advocacy of wellness, patient safety, and staff engagement initiatives. At the event, Michael Daszkiewicz was named 2019 Employee of the Year.
Michael, who works as the Storeroom Coordinator in the Materials Management Department, joined South County Health three years ago.
He was nominated by co-workers who emphasized his willingness to go above-and-beyond while adhering to South County Health’s guiding values of Caring, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence. Other honorees included Siobhan Ryan from the ICU (Staff Engagement Champion), the Pre-Admission Testing Team (Patient Safety Champions), and the Bacon House Wellness Walkers (Wellness Champions).
At the event, employees were honored for five year increments of service with three employees recognized for 40 years with the organization. They are Kathleen Cronin, a registered nurse in the Cardiology Department, Maureen Klaboe, an analyst in MIS, and Linda Parfitt, a Hematology technical specialist in the laboratory.
The event was emceed by Maggie Thomas, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, and included remarks by Aaron Robinson, President and CEO of South County Health. A special Employee Appreciation video was also presented.
The event capped off South County Health's annual Employee Week activities.
